IT’S DONE & IT’S SOLD!!
Before the tile was even on, a friend reached out that she wanted it, had a spot for it & plans on how to fill it … the perfect trifecta for furniture! ❤️ so, I’m sorry it won’t make it to The Shops after all, it’ll be going straight to its new home.
Everyone has been so positive about the transformation that I really wanted to share the “AFTER” pics (plus a couple of the “befores”, so we can all appreciate the potential an old, abandoned cabinet can have)
I’m as passionate about rescued furniture as I am about rescued pets - so many pre-loved treasures to be found!
This was a labor of love & one of my favorite things I’ve up-cycled! I know it will be loved 😊

Do you remember when all photos had to be developed at the store and 1/3 of them ended up being a blurry, dark mess? My mom always tried to get me outside in the best light, so the photos would be good…. UPDATE- SOLD!
NEW THIS WEEK 8/6 - a large metal lamp with feather trimmed shade! This is a heavy, metal lamp (think it was originally brass plated, but plating was not in good shape) given a fresh coat of oil rubbed bronze color & has a “not-over-the-top” feather trimmed shade. Features a 3 way switch & bulb and stands 33” tall and 21” wide. Built to last!!

A little sneak peak at a piece of furniture I’m working on for The Shops …. Someone’s hand made piece with 24 individual drawers, using old, square nails … sanding away the old shellac, I believe the body is pine & the drawer fronts are oak. The hardware is BEAUTIFUL & I spent a good couple of hrs wire-brushing them back to new 😍 I will hopefully get this finished & in The Shops in a couple of weeks (my living room needs the space for all the small furniture I’m doing for the Purple Painted Lady Festival, in September)
