Pack it up and ship it out!

This well-worn military trunk is from a barn purchase- while age has obscured some of the markings, the rest tell us enough of a story to date and provenance it! The stencil marks were for weight class and unit location, allowing for fast calculation of transport weight limits and clandestine shipping in case anything was intercepted! The fact that it made it back to the U.S. and it's sitting on my floor tells me Lt. Edlund got his packages.

This old warrior will be making its way to Kristofer Danaher & Elisa Kozmits after some much needed de-funking of the interior (you can take the trunk out of the barn but.....)

Portable word processing for the professional!

The Royal McBee Co. marketed this stylish blue and white typewriter to students and the traveling businessman. It had several specialized features- the Magic Margin (for adjusting spacing mid page), adjustable key tension and so you could customize your machine to your preferred resistance, and dual color ribbon feed!

Would you want this to type the next great American novel? Pretend to be a journalist on the trail of the next big story in the Midwest?

From a storage locker to the store!

Bought some assorted items off of a walk in, including the assorted papers of a soldier from Gorham that served in the 16th Armor Group that operated out of the USAARMC at Fort Knox, KY. They are most notable in tfor deploying airdropped M56 Scorpion tanks to Vietnam, 1963-1969

The 16th was inactivated and redesignated as the 16th Cavalry from April 15, 1968 to September 1969- and it looks like our soldier went to Sydney that same year before he was reassigned to the new department!

This 1940s n**e study had my name on it (literally!).

Erwin Blumenfeld (1897- 1969) was a German-American photographer and prominent icon of Surrealist photography movements of the inter-war period . A student of Dadaism that took pictures for both the French and American sides of Vogue magazine, he blended physical beauty with surrealistic environments to deliver stunning and almost supernatural shots.

This card stock study most closely resembles the composition and lighting style he employed during the late 1930s-early 1940s like in his "N**e under Wet Silk" (1937).

Digging and digging through that jewelry purchasd- and finding a little sunlight.

Crown Trifari is the benchmark of costume jewelry, well-designed in both material and theme. It's called Crown Trifari due to the little đź‘‘ over the 'T' in the trademark, which also contained the copyright mark from 1955-1967.

This is only the beginning- more to come!
