When you go back the second day to hopefully get the light fixtures that you missed and the house was pretty much empty since the estate sale was so good. In true McALPINE fashion a house full of unique details and mystery. The attention to proportion, materials, transitions and tiny details firsthand was the most valuable takeaway even over my great finds that day.

This ‘Luzon’ wallpaper always reminds me of the peaceful green and blue days of summer. It’s a hard season to say goodbye to especially when I have one leaving for college next week!
Are you thinking about the rooms you’ll want to enjoy later in the year now that summer is ending? Now is the time to start planning them since wallpaper takes time to source, sample, order and install.
If there’s a room you’ve been thinking would be better wrapped in wallpaper book a consultation and let’s get it on the calendar. Click on link in bio for more information.

✨Wallpaper is a Gateway Drug✨

It started with Cole & Son (Wallpapers) Ltd stripe then the foyer needed more so BACKDROP Schumacher was next up.

I love how this ceiling pattern pulls from 19th & 20th century neoclassical motifs found in Schumacher’s archives, reworking cherubs, shells, and jeweled butterfly garlands into something unexpected.
