Well, Rockland Marketplace has reincarnated as a new store in Augusta. Capitol Furnishings has opened on Water St. (Augusta's Main St.). Look for posts about what we have to offer.

Rockland A. Marketplace, 23, passed away peacefully due to covid19 on June 8, 2020. Born in Rockland, on March 1, 1997 to Wyatt Shorey and Steven Dumas, its young life was filled with new friends, fast growth and good times. The years were good to RAM with lots of customers 'from away' who stopped in every year on their trips to Maine. Also, many, many locals who came in very often-even daily-year round. RAM had an extremely large and loyal extended family of dealers and friends from far and wide.

RAM was predeceased by its canine friends: Shad, McCoy, Nelson, and Buddy and is survived by its Dads, many longtime and newer dealers, a bastion of loyal fans, and too many friends to list.

There will be no services.

Starting at 9am today, we'll be open for a LARGE sale. HUGE discounts until 1pm. Stop by for a great deal!! Then we're going to do it again tomorrow from 9am to 1pm.

A great big THANKS to all of you who came by last Sunday for our big sale. BUT, we still have so much left that we are going to do it all again this Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Bigger discounts will make it well worth your time. Please bring cash (some smaller bills, please ) or checks as you will be paying each dealer directly. NOT one check to the shop! We.are going to be holding a special sale this Sunday ONLY from 9 AM to 1 PM. Very deep discounts on some dealers items, whoever is here. Bring your cash or checkbook as there will be no cards accepted. This is a one time sale only. If you are still nervous about being out, we respect that and please don't come. Thank you.

So, let me get this straight...you can go to Walmart and buy a chair or a picture for your wall, but you can't go to a local business like, say, Rockland Marketplace and buy the same thing???? REALLY???????? THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG HERE!!! THIS GOVERNOR NEEDS AN OUNCE OF COMMON SENSE. These decisions need to be based on science. And obviously, they are not!

So, for now, we're closed. I'll be going in frequently and posting pictures of items that are there.
