I am sitting here in my kitchen trying to figure out what to write and how to write it because I am overwhelmed with so many emotions. And, there are so many people, literally thousands, that I am thankful for and to.
I am so thankful to each and every one of you who walked through the doors of Off The Square and gave us a chance. To those who came back time and time again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. All of you are more than just customers, you are truly friends. To those of you who came from different states and even different countries, thanks for checking out our little corner of Rockville.
Our little shop started with only 16 artists and grew to over 40 by the the end with no space left for more. Some of you were on a waiting list for more than a year, and some of you were still on that list when we closed yesterday. Of the 16 we started with, more than 10 of you were still here at the end. Your loyalty to me and to to the shop speaks loudly, and I am forever indebted to you for believing in this idea of a shop with only handcrafted artists. I have learned so much from all of you, but most of all we had so much fun. I love you all.
I am looking forward to the next chapter of spending more time with my family and further pursuing my photography of the Parke County Covered Bridges. I will miss seeing all of you dearly and having some great conversations with you all, as well.
As many of you know, I will be helping Rockville Retro is setting up a handcrafted only building. Many of my artists will be joining this new adventure. I will keep this account open and update you on the progress of the building. I am honored to be able to help out with this super special endeavor. So, stay tuned!
