Cool mornings are getting me in the mood for all things pumpkin. We’ve been waiting to get these out on the shelves and I think it’s time! These fragrance warmers ($16) are a perfect way to add a little holiday charm to any room. I prefer using our ceramic beads in the wall warmers in case it gets bumped. Just refresh with your favorite scented oil (or design your own in the studio) and enjoy! 🎃

Photo shoot day one in the books and my models are wonderful to work with. Always ready at a moments notice, they know exactly how to pose, and they smell amazing! This is always fun for me and gives me a day of a different kind of creativity.

As you can see, fall scented candles are about to drop! 🍂 I hope to have all of the scents ready by September and I am excited to launch the newest candle scent WRAP ME IN AUTUMN. Last year the scent was only available in our car freshener and they were a huge hit so I poured and tested the candles early in the year and they are incredible!

While I love designing and pouring candles, the process of setting the wicks in the vessels is my least favorite and most stressful. I pride myself on a perfectly centered wick and wooden wicks present a time-consuming challenge. If you’ve taken a class or purchased one of our DIY kits then you get it. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Having my hands on every aspect of the candles I pour brings me joy and I know my customers appreciate it as well.

Just remember, it’s ok to not love every part of the process, but knowing that the end result is absolutely worth the effort is a wonderful feeling. 🥰

Back to school day at our house! This year is a special one because both our kiddos will be at the same school where their dad is principal. All my boys in the same building! 🤍

A huge thank you to my amazing customers for a terrific summer of local shopping, and those who vacation in Parke County every year and always make the studio stop a priority. I apologize if I was not there when you stopped in because it is so important for me to get to thank you, but I appreciate the grace my customers give me when it comes to me getting to spend time with my family. It’s been a terrific summer break of making memories.

Now, it’s back to work, work, work! Just under two months before the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival! Yeah, let that sink in! 🍁

One of the most important aspects of owning a small business is supporting other small businesses. The DIY station was very busy last week with scent designers making their oils for candles, room sprays, body oils, and more! This wonderful group of ladies from Turkey Run Elementary come every summer to put their fragrance designing skills to the test and I love every minute with them.

Thanks to all of my DIYers who showed up last week! If you’ve been wanting to come in and do this, no appointment needed. Just come in during open hours and design away. The candle kits are $25 and all you need at home is a microwave. Other options vary in price and only require mixing.
