The 20% sale on the Kelp Waves shawl pattern continues through May 20 on Ravelry and Payhip! (See links in bio)

This shawl has a wonderful feeling of movement and it looks more complicated than it really is. I love how the border waves just because of the increases and decreases within the pattern. 😊

The Kelp Waves shawl pattern remains 20% off on Ravelry and Payhip through May 20!

Brioche knitting makes such a beautiful, squishy fabric. I've made several YouTube videos on how to work brioche stitches if you're just starting out -- https://www.youtube.com/

I loved using Miss Babs Tarte for this project -- it has excellent stitch definition and drape, and Miss Babs has the most amazing color selection. You can't go wrong! Miss Babs Hand-Dyed Yarns & Fibers

The Kelp Waves shawl pattern is 20% off on Ravelry and Payhip through May 20 with the code WAVES (see links below and in bio). 😊

Wavy lines of brioche stitches travel up the edge of this asymmetrical shawl like kelp fronds buffeted by the ocean currents.

This pattern uses syncopated brioche to play around with color within its brioche border. See this YouTube video for tips on how to work syncopated brioche: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da-i8y-0_aE

My sample used 2 skeins of Miss Babs Tarte in the colorways Nori and Frog Belly. Miss Babs Hand-Dyed Yarns & Fibers

The 20% off sale on the Second Act Hat continues through April 16 on Ravelry and Payhip! (See links in bio)

This hat worked up really quickly -- it's knit in garter stitch, and the short row sections are very addictive.

The instructions are written for three sizes. Using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished hat and the amount of yarn needed.

The Second Act Hat pattern is 20% off on Ravelry and Payhip through April 16 with the code SECOND. (See links below and in bio. 😊)

This hat is perfect for variegated or color-changing yarns. Garter stitch rows travel in two directions across this easy, quick-to-knit project.

The crown of the hat is worked sideways with German short rows for shaping. Then stitches are picked up and the brim is worked in the round, making it simple to customize its length.

My sample used Boho Gradient Yarns Midnight Twisted in the colorway Dragonfly. AMAZING color changes. Yarn Daze

The Taking Steps scarf pattern remains 20% off on Ravelry and Payhip through March 14! (see links in bio)

I made my scarf with fi*****ng weight yarn, but you could also experiment with sport or DK weight for a bigger, squishy wrap.

It's knit entirely in garter stitch for a perfect TV project. 😊

The Taking Steps Scarf is 20% off on Ravelry and Payhip through March 14 with the code STEPS. (See links below or in bio.)

Stair steps of color march in two directions across this rectangular scarf (or stole). This easy modular project -- worked entirely in garter stitch -- keeps your interest with each new β€œstep” you take.

The sample used Knit Picks Hawthorne Fi*****ng in three colors, Happy Valley, Klamath Falls, and Astoria. Knit Picks

I am so happy to have one of my patterns accepted into Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts's Cottage Garden collection. Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts

The Meadow Honey pullover is available on their website and on Ravelry (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/meadow-honey-pullover).

Our next featured sweater from the Cottage Garden Classics Collection is the Meadow Honey Pullover by and this lovely sweater is equally at home in a lovely garden or for a night out!
🌸Note: Patterns and kits will be available February 28 with an introductory discount of 20% off on patterns (on both our website and Ravelry) and 10% off on kits. 🌸
The Meadow Honey Pullover features lace and cable panels that make up the scalloped hem of this sweater. They are reminiscent of a bee’s wings, leafy meadows, and dripping honeycomb! Meadow Honey is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom upward. The three-quarter length sleeves join at the underarms before raglan decreases shape the shoulders. The patterning provides a natural A-line shaping as the lace stitches decrease, which gives this pullover a swingy, loose hem. More bands of honeycomb circle the sleeve cuffs and the v-neckline.
Sample shown in Size 4, 104 cm / 41” Finished Circumference at chest, for model A (Eden) with 12.7 cm / 5” positive ease, and by Model B (Anna) with 7.5 cm / 3” negative ease.

Happy Boxing Day! The Sloshy Shawl pattern remains 25% off on Ravelry and Payhip (through January 1). See links in bio.

The Sloshy Shawl would be a great introduction to intarsia for anyone who wants to try it. The joins between the colors remain stable -- all the shaping takes place elsewhere.

The fringe is optional, but I have to say it was also fun to add. 😊

The Sloshy Shawl pattern is 25% off on Ravelry and Payhip through January 1 with the code SLOSHY!

Color sweeps across this asymmetrical shawl, ending in gentle ripples like waves sloshing against the shore. Worked almost entirely in garter stitch, this color block project is a quick, easy introduction to intarsia knitting.

For the sample, I used Knit Picks High Desert in Alder and Schoppel Lace Flower in the colorway 2365 (held triple).
