The student center needed a floor that could keep up and Platform L3 stepped up.

Proud to see our L3 self-leveling underlayment help create a high-performance training environment at one of the University of Georgia's busiest student facilities.

We’re talking about the expansion of the Ramsey Student Center's strength and conditioning footprint which is adding 10,000 SF of new space by converting two squash courts and six racquetball courts into a large training area for:

🏋️ Weight & resistance training
💪 Functional fitness
🏃 Anaerobic exercise
❤️ Strength & cardio equipment
🧘 Free weights and stretching

Once complete, the expansion will grow the facility’s strength and conditioning space from 20,000 to 30,000 SF, helping meet growing student demand while creating additional opportunities for physical education classes.

Kudos to All American Surfaces South who installed 600+ bags of L3 mixed with gravel in one day to remediate and level the subfloor to provide a flat, sound, and properly prepared substrate.

That's a serious day at the office.

It may not be the most exciting topic in flooring… but it could be one of the most important.

ASTM F3010 defines the performance requirements for resin-based moisture mitigation systems used on concrete slabs before flooring installation. In plain English, it helps ensure the moisture mitigation system you choose is designed to address the challenges that can exist below the surface.

Why does that matter? Because excessive moisture can lead to costly flooring failures, delays, and callbacks after the project is complete. The right preparation starts before the first piece of flooring goes down.
