We have had a visit from the Yarn Fairy! There are new colors in some old favorites and some brand new favorites to try! We are still fighting with supply chain issues, so many colors are still backordered. Expect more colors to arrive as they become available.

First up is Magnolia. This is our solution to the age-old problem of “It’s summer in Missouri. I’m hot and sticky and I don’t want to knit!” This is a light-weight, non-fuzzy, modal and cashmere blend that is perfect for lacy summer projects. It is super soft and luxurious, and just look at that sheen! (If you work in a yarn shop and start a new project with a new yarn, does that count as “research & development”? Asking for a friend....)

Next is Uptown Worsted Hues. This yarn is a soft & snuggly 100% anti-pill acrylic that is great for babies! (And not-babies, we don’t judge.) Come in and snuggle a skein today!

Wizard is the first of our Fall Yarns to arrive. It is a machine washable wool blend in beautiful, rich color shifts! It has been joined by Dash, a super fluffy new yarn with a new and different dye pattern: mostly natural white with just a “dash” of color!

Last but not least is Bamboo Pop Sock. This yarn is a wool-free bamboo and cotton blend that is also light-weight and great for summer projects! It has a little texture and a lot of stretch.

We’ve added two new colors to our Sea Isle Cotton, and FINALLY gotten some of our backordered colors of Shades of Sockotta! More new yarns should start arriving soon, we’ll keep you posted!

We have our first class of the summer lined up! Fingerweaving is a Native American weaving technique that has been around for thousands of years. There is no loom used in fingerweaving (which means no hours of warping before you get started) and you can make items of any width, from bookmarks, straps, belts, and scarves to shawls, wraps, and ruanas. This class will introduce the basic weave as we make a lovely, light-weight scarf. No prior knowledge or special equipment needed. Bring a friend along to learn together and you each get $5 off the class fee!
