A nineteenth-century slipper chair, a form developed for parlor interiors and private rooms.
The frame remains continuous, its curvature held through the back and seat in a single line. Points of construction remain visible, preserving the object’s original structure.
Reupholstered in an embroidered textile developed from studies of eighteenth-century Venetian marbled paper, the surface carries pattern through repetition rather than ornament.
