I wanted to take a minute to thank ALL of the vendors who chose to brave the heat today and be a part of Daisy Days. 💚
Being the event coordinator means weeks of preparation happen behind the scenes. So when event week arrives and the weather decides to show out, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t worrisome. You put so much time, energy and hard work into preparing, and you wonder if all of that work will essentially dissolve into nothing because of the heat.
But today, all of you brave souls showed up. And for that, I want to personally say THANK YOU.
Even with those temperatures, folks showed up and supported. There were lots of smiles, lots of laughter and plenty of hee-hawing going on — and that, my friends, is a success in my book every single time. 💚
I also want to thank my Daisy Babes for greeting everyone with a smile and being eager to help. I realize the lines were long at times, but something I remind myself of, especially on days like today, is that we are willing to help to the very best of our ability.
We wrap every breakable item, bag or box every purchase, and try to show our gratitude with every single customer. I hope that makes the wait just a little easier when you visit us.
I often think back to the days when we had one little store, one little punch-button register and two little workers. Growing pains are pains, but they are necessary. And I truly believe we have handled that growth well.
Today, we have added two registers at each store and can have 8 staff members helping on those busy days. We will always strive to improve, become better and figure out the budget to make those improvements happen — because we know our customers deserve that.
So, thank y’all again. 💚
We are SO blessed, even on the hard days. And just by showing up today, braving the heat, shopping, vending, laughing and supporting one another, I know you feel the same way.
Until the next Daisy Days… thank you for making it what it is. 🌼💚
