Tip of the month - Is it Solid Wood?
In our profession, we run into this type of situations quite frequently. We get a call for an inspection and an estimate, only to realize that furniture piece in question, is not even made out of solid wood. It's made out of stuff that mimics solid wood, but it's not solid wood. Do we work on such pieces? 99 times out of 100, we don't, simply because it's not worth it for the client. The same applies for do-it-yourself projects. If something is not made out of solid wood, you may just be better off buying a new item.
