Having some good feelings atm about my short story "Sigrun's song" about a mermaid and a handmaiden who drown a prince who refuses to give up his greedy ways by tricking him into diving for treasure at the bottom of a fjord. (I wrote this in 2022)
It's almost like some people can be given all the chances in the world, and they still make fools of themselves.

Posting some stories to ko-fi and patreon today though including parts/ all of my short stories!

Just a couple hours left at Hidden Minnesota, and I finished this necklace I'm calling "Chained: The Martyr". The photo doesn't really do it a lot of justice, but that really seems fitting. Religious trauma can really manifest in some bold and messy ways, and I think this piece is the best expression of those feelings I could achieve right now. I haven't finished any of my chokers or other edgier jewelry in a minute, so I thought it would be good to get something a little more punk-goth back in my repertoire.

Meet the artist? Hi I'm Calamity, a q***r disabled artist, currently specializing in stained glass! Something fun that happened today was that I gave a kind of awkward interview that might be on the news tonight. I think I just got overwhelmed with the possibilities 😅
Anyway, if you're here, please feel free to give me a follow if you haven't already. I feel that art should be shared and experienced, and I appreciate support even if it's just looking from a respectful distance. I've got other platforms that might be better for experiencing some of my other work too!

Back at again today! Did I mention that someone decided they loved "Just a Tree" enough to get it? I'm holding onto it a couple more days though because I haven't given myself a better way to transport my larger pieces for shows and the corner of the piece cracked. Fortunately I do repairs, but I wasn't expecting that need so soon.
I'll be posting the story of Just a Tree on my Patreon and Ko-Fi tonight or tomorrow, as well the stories behind a few other pieces!

Thanks for everyone who visited at Art in the Hollow! It's too bad the new stuff didn't pan out, but hopefully I'll have it working before Hidden MN's pride show! I'm starting some work on some more accessible versions of my art too, like this faux stained glass Phoenix. Less time, less materials, still looking good though, right?
