Every August we travel for our anniversary. This year Alan and I celebrated 47 years. Have you heard of the 127 Longest Yard Sale?? The https://127yardsale.com/ We did it in 2023 with friends. We did it again... We shopped, visited friends and family along our journey and had a great time. More to come on our great finds.

The 127 Yard Sale happens the first Thursday thru Sunday in August each year. It is 690 miles long and spans 6 states.

Our Grandson, Keegan Cooke, won 3rd place in the 3-D Artwork California State Fair. We are so proud of him. Congratulations to Keegan. Here is his bio...

Horseshoe Crab is a metal sculpture created by 15-year-old Keegan Cooke using upcycled materials. Inspired by a unique crescent-shaped piece discovered in a pile of scrap metal, Keegan and his grandfather transformed discarded steel into a detailed representation of one of nature’s oldest creatures. Under his grandfather’s guidance, Keegan learned welding techniques and developed the skills needed to bring the project to life.
Beyond welding and metalworking, Keegan is actively involved in his school’s AFJROTC program, where he enjoys leadership and service opportunities. He is also working toward earning the prestigious Eagle Scout rank with his local Scout troop and
is an active member of his church, participating in youth activities, service projects, and community outreach. In his free time, Keegan enjoys drawing, playing board games with friends and family, and exploring creative projects that challenge him to learn new skills.
Through creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication, Keegan hopes his artwork inspires others to see the potential hidden in everyday materials and to appreciate the value of
hard work, imagination, and perseverance.
