What's in store for Dutton Brown in 2026?

First, let's run it back to last year. We expanded our team. Developed CAD libraries designers actually wanted. Partnered with BIMobject. Standardized our processes so nothing falls through the cracks. We got really, really good at setting a solid foundation for what's to come.

And there's so much in the works:

⚙️ Expanding our Swift hardware line—more towel bars, hooks, and racks.

💡 Releasing a brand-new collection with a recessed lighting focus.

🩷 A new color! You asked, we answered. This one is super cute (we PINKy promise).

🧑‍💻 Improving initiatives for our Trade customers.

But here's what matters most: we're still us. Still handcrafting in Minnesota. Still obsessed with color. Still carrying the lighting industry on our backs 💁‍♀️. But we're not tired, yet!

The one that started it all. Meet Urchin 💫

Back in the early 2010s, we saw the price tag on the Lumière fixture from Jean de Merry — the one that originally inspired us — $5,000 😮 That got us thinking: could we design a more compact version, better suited for smaller spaces? Absolutely.

So we got to work. Using wire hangers, we created our very own ✨Urchin Chandelier✨. Today, our Urchin has had a facelift. Each one is handcrafted to order with a CNC-machined aluminum core and 316 individually threaded solid brass rods. Plus, we’ve added Flush Mount and Beaded versions — all powder coated in-house, of course.

Fast-forward to today, the entire Urchin collection is one of our best sellers. Even among our hundreds of products, the Urchin remains one of our favorites too. 🧡
