We have been receiving numerous calls for box springs that were flooded.

Box springs do not have any stuffing or fabric fill inside. They can be pressure washed and treated so you do not have to buy new ones. If your mattresses were not damaged, you can clean the box springs. If they were full of water, we recommend cutting the bottom fabric liner off of the boxes, hosing them out, spraying for mold, and letting them air dry. This will allow you to get some use out of them until you can afford to replace them.

My heart goes out to all of the people who lost everything they had in the flood. If you have any furniture in good condition, clean and usable, I will be happy to inspect it and direct it to flood victims. I can pickup and deliver to families in need.

We want to let everyone know that the Glenns are safe and our homes, fortunately, are safe. The Furniture Store has not been flooded at this time. It sits well above most flood levels on Alameda and Union, and the water came to within a foot of the entrance. There is another forecast for torrential rain and we are keeping our beloved Roswell people in our thoughts and prayers!
