Let us explain: we met years ago when our young sons forced us into one of those awkward mom moments where you find yourself “dating” another mom so your kid can play with another kid. While we were both true to form and awkward at first, little did we know that a fateful meeting at the mailbox would lead to us becoming the closest of friends & business partners. Very quickly, we realized that whi
le we shared many interests, none monopolized our texts and conversations more than our love of designing & crafting our homes into places that make us feel home. Somehow, our banter about going into business together slowly materialized into just that, and Ann Marie was born (our first child together since we started mom-dating). The use of our quintessential 1980s middle names (Jennifer Ann & Janna Marie), defines our partnership perfectly; we meet in the middle to produce collaborative designs that facilitate feelings of coziness, comfort, and calm in your home. While many designers charge for their services by the hour, we use a per-space design fee model. Most typically, a “space” is defined as an individual room in your home such as a bedroom, entryway, living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. This allows you, the client, to have a solid idea of our fees before we even begin designing. We work with each client’s specific budget in mind, and our goal is that once we’ve presented your design plan, you will have absolutely everything in hand should you choose to complete the design on your own.
