If you’re new here, you probably know me for the plate walls… but there’s a story behind all of this.
Lots of new faces here lately — welcome, and thank you 🤍
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself…
I’m Marie Miral, and I’ve built my world around a love of French antiques and contemporary art.
Over ten years ago, my father Pierre (the sweetest Frenchman 🇫🇷) and I started this business together. He was newly retired and living in France, and asked if I’d like to take on a retirement project importing antiques.
Bien sûr… I said yes.
What started as a small shop on the town square in Round Top has grown into something I could have never imagined — from Marburger to the Compound, Excess II, and now Blue Hills.
A few years in, I took over the business and began shaping it into what it is today — blending timeless European antiques with contemporary art in a way that feels layered, collected, and full of life.
Before all of this, I was a first grade teacher — and in many ways, I still am at heart. I love creating, storytelling, and helping people see beauty in new ways.
One of the greatest honors of this journey has been representing the most incredible artists — many of whom have become dear friends. Their work brings emotion and soul into every space we create.
I’m endlessly inspired by the stories antiques carry — generations of craftsmanship, beauty, and intention in every detail.
Creating vignettes where everything comes together is my favorite part…
(and yes, I hang every single plate wall myself 😉)
Our family home in Ainvelle, Haute-Saône — the original Maison Miral — is where it all began. It’s still where we source, dream, and find inspiration in the quiet charm of the French countryside.
To me, when art and antiques are paired thoughtfully, they breathe life into each other — creating depth, balance, and joy in a home.
So grateful you’re here 🤍
