Are you someone who goes all out to decorate for seasons and holidays? I used to be, but I'm doing less each year. Still, an occasional pop of color does say "Oh, hello, Fall!" We'll have these little block of cheer available at the Pumpkin Festival in Rural Valley in just a few short weeks. Come see us at Mostly Oak Woodcrafts.

I didn't want to post Christmas items yet, but the seasons are all mixed up at the Shaw house. These are lilacs, and they are in bloom now. For real. I didn't have any in the spring, but what can I do but enjoy them now. Hope you enjoy the Santa gnomes as well. Merry, Happy Everything!

Here are a few more pumpkins for the Rural Valley Pumpkin Festival that will be on Sept. 26. I absolutely love the segmented ones, and each year I intend to make one out of solid cherry for me. Well, each year I make a few and before I know it, they're gone. Do I make a few extra or do I hide them and forget about them until Christmas?

I finally finished a few pumpkins. There are lots more in the making, but two people working in a small workshop with one workbench and projects in various stages of development piled everywhere... it's a wonder he lets me in there at all. ☺️

A friend asked us if we could make some of these. Heck yeah, it's a great idea. (Thanks, Michelle!) Do you know how many different sizes there are that are "about" this size? No two aluminum pans are alike! We're looking for a less expensive source for handles for these. Any leads?

These were new last year, but I'm not sure we had them for the Pumpkin Festival. In any case, we have a few more now.

These light boxes are pretty cool. The buck is made of solid wild cherry, and the wolf is cut from walnut. They are available in the Mostly Oak Woodcrafts showroom. It has a simple night light bulb. (The super bright glow is due to my phone that has a mind of its own. Soon to be replaced. I'll add that to my list. 😉)
