It's that time of year again. Sleepy bees will be showing up more and more. They've worked hard all summer, and now their purpose draws to a close.

Thank you for your service. God speed, little friend.

Today is the last day to sign up for the Dried Flower Pumpkin session we're doing tomorrow. It's going to be a great time!

Beautiful sunset tonight...

The flowers have had a long hot week, mostly without me as I am recovering from the old carpal tunnel fix. Once my grip is working again, I'll catch up on new fall creations and sharing workshop offerings for the fall. I hope you'll join me!

But for now, I'm gonna just enjoy this moment in the motherland with my family.

❤️👍

Some Sunday morning beauties and a really good dog. She guards the flower yard and oversees daily tasks. She also lets me know when it's time to take a break because I've gotten too hot, but my stubborn brain will just keep going.

I did a little flower refresh on some designs in the booth this week (just in time for Tech students to move in 😉). Come see what you think! Block City, booth F-16.

One thing that has been a huge benefit for this year was being okay with some flowers going to seed last year. So I didn't get everything cut when I was supposed to. Okay. Bonus flowers for the next year. I let things go and have really loved seeing what comes from that lack of control.

With all the "rules" in the flower growing industry, I'm glad I opted for something that worked better for my life and health and stress levels. [That life is not for me, but if it's your life go for it!]

But every once in a while, practice the art of letting go.

Cutting flowers yesterday evening, and came across this zinnia I've been watching and waiting on. The colors that are developing in this whole row are amazing! This one reminds me of dawn or dusk sunshine.
