The bowl gouge and I are getting to be better friends, but not even close to ole drinking buddies yet!!!! 🤣🤣🤣. But I’m not going to give up. It’s getting better Wormy walnut 12” diameter and 2” high. I like the grain patterns though!!

The last bowl I was working had a blow out, so I did another one, and I think it turned out pretty decent.

Playing on the lathe this evening

After almost two years after his graduation, my son’s desk is pretty much done just a few minor details and touch ups. I normally don’t put any stain on cherry but he wanted dark cherry so we used Georgian Cherry gel stain.
Sprayed satin varnish to round out the finish.
We cut the lumber from a downed tree in our back yard a couple years ago, only thing we bought was plywood for panels, drawer slides and k***s. The rest come off our sawmill

Still working on the Desk, he wanted to stain it even though it’s cherry 😡😡
The drawers are going in, get the drawer fronts done and added on then the finishing process. 😳😳😳
