Updated! We’ve had this Vintage Postal Sorter in the shop for a good while. Countless people have poked, prodded and measured this one ever since we brought it in. Everybody loved it except for the rectangle shape of the sorting bins. Well! We finally got a chance today to pop the back off and update the configuration to slightly larger squares. She turned out amazing! We can’t wait to see how she gets styled by her next owner!

Zoom in for a few more Christmas treasures we’ve added for this week too!

Sneak Peek! This antique dresser was an oxidized golden yellow when we acquired it. Our original plan was to strip it back to bare wood and refinish it. It was last refinished in 1967 according to a pencil inscription on the wooden top. Unfortunately the existing finish resisted stripping so we decided to take it another direction.

We started by adding a white primer base to neutralize the old yellow finish. We then added the blue green paint layer. We finished the piece with a dark wax topcoat that we then knocked back to reveal the underlying paint layers.

Several of the drawer pulls were missing or damaged so we added a new set of brushed bar pulls. These are on 3” centers so they’re easily replaced if the setting calls for a different look.

Marble top. Knapp joint drawers. Message us if you’re interested.

Sneak Peek! One of our prized treasures for this week is this beautiful heavy duty antique table out of an amazing estate over in Mississippi! She likely started life as a general store table but for the last half century she’s served as the layout table in the commercial printing room of the family’s newspaper business.

I don’t know exactly who needs to see this piece but my instincts tell me that one or two of you have waited forever for a piece like this to show up. We’re excited to offer it in this week’s drop of treasures! DM for more info or pricing.
