Many of my friends and family know that my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for quite some time. We got married in October of 2018 and began trying in March of 2019, almost 2 years from the time I decided to create this little business. I made this decision in the hopes of channeling our lack of success in conceiving into something productive and beautiful and as a way to save money f

or potential fertility treatments if that becomes our next step. I have found that resin is a very interesting medium to use as it flows easily into the silicone molds or takes on colors from the mica powders and will absorb the glitter that I often add to the mixtures to create designs. With resin, once you mix the 2 parts you really only have about 30-45 minutes to be able to use the product before it starts to set up and becomes difficult to stir or pour. I typically have to make a plan, lay out all of the materials I want to use from the individual cups used to mix the different colors, stir sticks for each as not to blend colors, the actual colors and of course the molds themselves. All of this allows me to have control over the process and thus, channeling my lack of control over being able to have a baby. I know this may come off as being quite a bit deeper than a little crafting page, but trying for so long for something I have wanted my whole life with setback after setback, it truly brings me so much happiness to be able to craft away the worry and bring a little bit of beauty into each piece I create.
