One stitch, two ways to finish! 🧶✨

Did you know that the Puff Stitch and the 5 HDC Cluster start out exactly the same?

To make either one, you yarn over, insert your hook, and pull up a loop 5 times in the same stitch. But when it comes to finishing them, you have two different options depending on the look and structure you want:

✨ Option 1: The Classic Puff Finish
Yarn over and pull through ALL the loops on your hook at once, then chain 1 to close.

Why choose it: It gives you that ultra-soft, classic, cloud-like puff that looks identical on both sides.

✨ Option 2: The Two-Step Cluster Finish
Yarn over and pull through all but the very last loop on your hook (leaving 2 loops). Then, yarn over and pull through those final 2 loops.

Why choose it: It creates a slightly more structured, secure stitch that anchors beautifully into your work.

The best part? You can totally customize the thickness! Depending on your yarn weight and how much "pop" you want for your finished result, you can repeat the yarn-over-and-pull-up-a-loop sequence anywhere from 2 to 10 times. ☺️

For me, the Puff Stitch and the HDC Cluster are essentially the same stitch.

Same gorgeous texture, two different techniques! Which finishing method is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! 👇

If you’ve been looking for a project that genuinely tests your skills while delivering a jaw-dropping look, this bactus is it!

The Temptation of the "Next Project" Syndrome 🧶✨

We’ve all been there: you’re halfway through a beautiful project, but a gorgeous new yarn or an incredible idea catches your eye, and suddenly you’re itching to start something new!

New projects are incredibly exciting—the fresh yarn, the new stitches, the endless possibilities. But there is nothing quite like the feeling of weaving in that last end and blocking a finished piece.

Let's make a deal: let's finish just one current project before casting on the next one. Your future self (and your yarn stash) will thank you!

What are you currently trying to finish up? Let me know in the comments! 👇
