Coming in November to E Street Gallery, The Alumni Show

The Alumni Show is a group show of raku pottery produced by “alumni” of workshops given by Don Ellis and Randy Brodnax at Lake Tahoe. Don and Randy have over 85 combined years of experience in raku. They are truly masters of their craft and wonderful educators as well. Through their workshops all over the United States they have influenced the work of thousands of ceramic artists. As alumni of their workshops at Lake Tahoe we would like to honor them by having a show of work inspired by their teachings.

The work shown includes traditional (glazed) raku as well as “alternative” raku techniques such as horsehair, ferric chloride fuming, aluminum foil saggar, Kosi, and naked raku.

The “Alumni” include:
Justin Haughin
Mackenzie Haughin
David Shapiro
Carla Stokes
Tomas Stokes
Pat Mckenzie
Dave Hodapp
Deborah Pittman

The show opens Saturday November 9, 2024 at E Street Gallery, 1115 E Street, Sacramento, CA. There will be an opening reception on the 9th from 5 pm to 8 pm. The Gallery will be open Saturdays (11/9, 11/16, and 11/23) from 12 pm to 4 pm.
