For us, every project starts with the architecture.
The proportions.
The sightlines.
The openings and transitions.
How you move through the house.
What you see when you walk through the front door.
All of it.
Long before we’re thinking about finishes, furniture, or any of the pretty things, we’re looking at the bones of the house and asking - could this be better?
Clients don’t necessarily come to us asking to change the architecture of their home. But as we work through a space, we’re always looking for opportunities to improve the way it flows, the way it feels, and the way one space relates to the next.
Sometimes a few relatively simple changes can completely shift the way a home looks and feels.
This Loomis remodel is a perfect example.
We reworked the entry with new transoms and an interior window to create some rhythm across the wall, give the entry a little more definition, and still keep that beautiful view straight through to the backyard.
Then in the living room, we simplified the window bay and rethought the fireplace and built-ins so everything felt like one architectural composition rather than a collection of separate pieces.
Nothing flashy.
Just a lot of little decisions that add up to a home that feels more intentional.
Eventually there will be stone and lighting and furniture and all the pretty things.
But this part?
This is where the story really starts.
