Like most, of y'all, I am a little camera shy on the apps and would rather the focus be on my wares. But since today is my birthday and I got my hair blown out, and we don't know when/if that will happen again haha, I decided to share.

Sixty-one! How the hell did that happen? I'm so grateful for the friendship, support, and humor of folks in the vintage and creative communities and for this business that gets me out of bed every morning. Another trip around the sun! 🌞 The Brasso is on me! 🤣

As convenient as e-readers are, there's nothing like sitting down with an old book and enjoying every bit of it 💙💚

My favorite of all the vintage Staffordshire dogs are the midcentury ones by Arthur Wood. I have sourced and sold both the large and small sizes in white/russet, white/black, and even a single white/white with the sweetest pink nose. 🩷

They are all wonderful, but I have longed to find a pair of solid blue ones 💙💙 for my own collection and ✨️finally✨️ it happened - and just in time to use my birthday as an excuse! I teared up a little when they arrived today, which is kind of ridiculous, but then I thought, it's nice to have things that make us this happy and don't bother anyone else. 😅

I've been a bit like Veruca Salt lately, wanting all the things, but tomorrow I will go back to showing things that are actually for sale in my booth, I promise 🤞

Yesterday, .raes.vintage and I took a quick little shopping trip over to Revival in Swanton, VT. What a time we had! This shop is definitely going on my regular rotation. The staff was so helpful and I found so many great pieces! ❤️

I'll be bringing some to the shop next week. This one, though, I'm going to enjoy for a bit. It's a vintage Otagiri teapot shaped like a colonial house, with a tree handle and shrubbery spout. The colors are so fresh and pretty! And it fits in so nicely with my current hutch vibe, see pic 2. It will make it into the shop eventually, just...not yet 😅

We also got to meet and another friend in the vintage community (whose IG account I do not know 🥲) on the way out. Perfect vintage day.

I am all about pastel colors right now 🩷💛💚🩵 and my booth will be filling up with lots of light and summery pieces this week. Watch for two gorgeous little Limoges floral vases, a huge 13" pink New Magnolia vintage Hull vase, some pretty floral Japanese porcelain pieces, and more!
