Did you know sailors used to have "Soap Wars" with the ocean? 🏴‍☠️
Before modern Sailors Soap existed, washing on a ship was a nightmare. Standard soap turns into a "calcium curd" in brine, meaning it actually made you dirtier. 🤢
The Timeline:
1800s: Sailors relied on rain barrels or "salt-water baths" that didn't actually involve soap.
1940s: Demand spiked during WWII for sailors who needed to stay clean with limited fresh water.
Today: We’ve perfected the formula to be biodegradable and ocean-safe.

What do you do when an unexpected opportunity presents itself? Steve Smith and I prayed and decided to be obedient to what God is calling us to do. We are moving to Nashville this morning. It is bitter sweet because we love St. Augustine where we have made our home for 7 years. We made some great friends in this wonderful community. But don’t worry! Our store, Coconut Barrel, will continue with our excellent staff. Also, we are working on something new and exciting which we hope to announce soon. Our plan is to return to Florida to retire unless God has a different plan for us. We will miss you all!
