I hear this from clients all the time:

“I know I should be able to do this myself.”

And my answer is always — of course you can. But that doesn’t mean you have to.

Life gets busy, and suddenly that closet, pantry or pile you’ve been meaning to tackle has been sitting there for months.

One little trick I use myself? If I’m putting something off, I make myself do the task and I time myself doing it. I’m usually surprised by how little time it actually takes — and then I know exactly where I can fit it into my calendar next time.

But sometimes the project is bigger, or you just need help getting started.

I think of professional organizing like having a personal trainer. You could do it yourself, but having someone show up with a plan, keep things moving and work through it with you can make all the difference.

And sometimes decluttering isn’t the end goal. It’s the beginning of something bigger.

The shower doors went up yesterday, which means this bathroom project is officially complete!

I loved seeing all the details come together - the tile, niches, bench, finishes and those final touches that completely transformed the space.

There’s something so satisfying about seeing all of those individual decisions come together in the finished space. Such a fun project, and I love how light, elegant and timeless it turned out.

This outdated kitchen was ready for a complete refresh!

I brightened the space with white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, Elysio quartz countertops and backsplash, and updated lighting. Taller upper cabinets gave my clients more storage while creating a more elegant, finished look.

I had so much fun selecting the details and seeing this kitchen come to life.

Why is Fall such a great time to tackle those home projects?

As the weather cools down and we start spending more time indoors, we suddenly notice the things we’ve been ignoring all summer - the clutter, the unfinished room, the empty shelves, or the space that just isn’t working the way we want it to.

Fall is also a great time to get the family involved - have everyone tackle their own rooms, closets and belongings, or finally make some decisions about those shared spaces.

And then there are the holidays - once they arrive, there’s enough planning, cooking, decorating and entertaining to do. Getting your home projects done now means you can actually enjoy the season when it gets here.

Whether you need help getting organized, refreshing a room, or finally finishing a space you’ve been putting off, Fall is a great time to get started.

I had so much fun working with this client in her beautiful home, and receiving a review like this means so much to me.

Helping people go from feeling overwhelmed by their space to feeling calm, organized and excited about their home is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

A love of books doesn’t mean they all have to disappear when it’s time to sell your home!

My client and her family are avid readers, so the bookcases on this upstairs landing were filled with books. For staging, I edited the shelves and created a balance of books and decorative pieces to make the entire area feel lighter, more styled and visually appealing - while still keeping the character of a family who loves to read.

It’s a small change that can make a big difference in how a space photographs and feels to potential buyers.

A little editing can make a big impact.

Today’s staging project was a gorgeous 7,000 sq. ft. home, where I focused on decluttering and styling to let the home itself shine.

In this bedroom, I cleared and styled the desk, removed personal items and photos, edited the bookcases by taking away about half of the books, and added a few brighter accessories that complemented the room. I also simplified and refreshed the bed for a cleaner, more polished look.

The goal with staging isn’t to remove all personality - it’s to create a beautiful, inviting space where potential buyers can picture themselves living.

Giving every space a purpose.

This spacious upstairs bonus room had become a bit of a catch-all, so before my client puts her home on the market, we reorganized and staged it to highlight just how much this room has to offer.

By creating three distinct areas - a game area with the ping-pong table, a comfortable TV/lounge space, and an organized workout zone - the room now feels intentional, spacious and ready for buyers to imagine how they could use it.
