I almost trashed this plant… 🌿😅
Well, not completely. I banished her to the “maybe not keeping” pile while I sorted through everything during this transition. Because if it wasn’t bringing me joy, I wasn’t keeping it around any longer.
For years, I fought for solid color on this plant and battled spider mites for what felt like forever. By the end of April, I was over it. I chopped off every but one on each stalk and gave her one ☝️ final chance to get her act together… because the trash can was next. 😂
Then one day, while doing my usual watering rounds, I noticed a new leaf on the way. I was dying to pry it open, but there was something so exciting about not knowing. Besides, if it came out disappointing, I’d have the perfect excuse to go shopping for a new mama plant. 😛
And I am SO glad I did waited💗
The morning I saw that leaf completely unfurl, the surprise was absolutely worth the anticipation. Apparently, she decided she wasn’t ready to leave after all—and I’m happy she chose to stick around, on her own terms finally healthy and thriving again. ✨🌿👌
