It's Christmas at the yarn shop!! We have been busy unpacking boxes!! The biggest new item
is the Lykke Flight needles! The Lykke wooden needles have been a favorite for so many of us.
The new stainless steel needles from Lykke are proving to be another hit!! They are are the metal
needle we have all been craving! Be sure to stop in to pick up a pair to try. We are sure you will love
them!
We have been unpacking new yarns, and new and gorgeous colors in existing yarns. Cumulus is
a new cotton yarn that is just what the name implies. Soft as a cloud!! It is worsted weight, but soft
and airy. The colors are heavenly! We have new colors in Zooey, a cotton and linen blend. It is a perfect
summer yarn to knit and to wear! Jody Long has new colors, and multis in his Ciao line. This is a worsted
weight 100% merino yarn that is fabulous! If you haven't tried Figi, you should! You are in for a treat!
It's a dk weight wool blend in wonderful multi-colored color ways. Of course, the color pallet for
Coastal Cotton keeps increasing. It's perfect for dish clothes. It holds it's color and shape after many uses and washing. New solids and multis are in stock.
We have been busy! Come in and check it all out. We look forward to seeing you, and your reaction
to all the fun new products. Of course,there is nothing wrong with the existing yarns either! Good

It's official! This weekend marks the beginning of summer! It's been quite nice already, except fir the wind! It just doesn't stop. A bit cooler today, with a possibility of rain. We surely need the rain. Hope people are careful this weekend with campfires, we already have several serious fires in Minnesota.
We will be closed for the holiday. Closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Stop in this week for a project to have for the weekend. Memorial Day can be cool and rainy, and it looks like th I s one may be both. It's a great time to kick back, relax and knit or crochet. You can do either inside by the fire, or outside by the campfire! Holidays are for fun, and for many of us needlework is exactly what the doctor ordered!
Whatever you do this weekend, have a fun safe holiday. Enjoy being with family and friends. Safe travels. Remember loved ones who remain a major part of our lives. Also remember all the men and women who have given so much to keep America free. We owe them so much.

Hello everyone!! It's been a bit since I have posted anything! It's been a busy winter! People complain about the long boring winter, but I must say this one seemed to fly by! I started the year with hip surgery, which meant that Marylyn and Carrie worked a lot more hours! They are fabulous! I am so lucky to have such special and talented people working for me! Wonderful people, and even better knitters!
As you have probably heard, this Saturday is Local Yarn Shop Day. It is a day set aside to show appreciation for each other. We, as a local shop, and you as a customer and friend. We need each other. In a world that has become so distant, we maintain a strong commitment and loyalty to each other. Local businesses need your support and loyalty. Our world has changed and become more impersonal. We hope to maintain that personal connection. Knitters and crocheters are a very special type of person, they are giving and caring people. We are a community of people who think of others and give. Enough preaching! I just feel so honored to be a part of this!!!
We are having a sale on Saturday to thank all of you for your loyalty to us. There will be new kits, new yarns and sale prices on old favorites. Please come in and support us, and register for several prizes to . be given away. We are excited to see you!
Thank you for your loyalty all these years!! We have been in this relationship for more than 50 years!! Can you believe that? I feel privileged to have known so many of you for such a long time. Many of you are new friends, and we hope to continue and expand our friendships. Hope to see you Saturday!!!

Hello everyone! We will be open tomorrow, Saturday, even though it is still awfully cold. We were concerned about people out on the roads today, but looks like the wind will be down tomorrow. BRRR! It's a typical Minnesota January! With the holidays over, it means more time for knitting and crocheting. Staying in by the fire sounds like heaven! Hope everyone can relax and enjoy some down time with this weather. Lots of wonderful yarns waiting for you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! It truly snuckbup this year!! The fall was so nice that one was lulled into thinking
we had more time tan we did. I hope you are close to being ready to enjoy the holiday! I'm closer than I
thought I was. Still some wrapping and baking to do, but it's coming along! I always think I can get more
done than I actually can. Someday I will get it together. ( not this year)
This is my favorite time of year! I love the excitement, the traditions and the magic. It's a great time
for family, friends and memories. A time to remember people present and past. When decorating the
tree it's so nostalgic to see the ornaments kids made, collected while traveling, or passed down from
family. Knitting and watching Christmas movies both new and old is special. We hope you also enjoy
the season.

Well, it is a week later, we missed Shop Small Saturday due to weather. We will make up for it, by
making tomorrow and next Saturday both be Shop Small!! Please drop in to shop and register for a
basket of goodies from several small craft shops in town. There is still plenty of time to shop and
craft before Christmas! This snow and cooler weather certainly puts one in the mood for Christmas!
We appreciate all of you, and your continued support over the years. Thanks for understanding our
choosing to be closed last Saturday.
Hope to see you tomorrow, or next week. All kits will be marked down for the event. Take care and
drop in to say hello!! Merry Christmas!!

Bad news! Due to bad weather we will not be open today!! I dont want anyone out on the roads
in inclement weather!!! So sorry for the inconvenience. We will do a Shop Small day in the future.
It is a great day to chill and knit at home. Have a glass of wine, knit, and enjoy the remaining family
and holiday time.
