Last weekend someone bought out all the last of the old newspapers we had at Metz & Co. This evening we will be bringing in a bunch more.
So if you have taken the time to page through them before, there is a whole new stack to look through, come and check them out.

Most of these papers are The Minneapolis Tribune or Minneapolis Journal from the 1920s.

Check out this new air ambulance, at least it was new a hundred years ago.
This was featured in a newspaper that we have in our booth at Metz & Co.
Also some photos of the other new things we brought in this week.
Come in and check them out.

"Has the gasoline engine had it?"
The jury is still out on that but I would say when they asked this question in the Jan 1969 edition of Popular Mechanics the answer was definitely not.
We will be putting this magazine along with a few others in our booth at Metz & Co this Wednesday evening.

Another thing we will be bringing in is this stack of empty envelopes. Most are addressed to people living on Division street and Washington Memorial Drive here in St. Cloud.
The post marks span from the 1940s during WW2 through to the 1980s. Many cool stamps on these.
I wish they had not thrown or removed all the letters before I found these, a lot of interesting info, opinions and well wishes were probably sent in these envelopes.

Why would you make a four foot long yard stick?
Zapp Bank made one back in the day to demonstrate that they "go the extra length to serve you."
Zapp bank was incorporated in 1907 in St. Cloud. In 1980 it became Zapp National Bank. It was eventually acquired by US Bank in 1997.
This yard stick is labeled as Zapp National Bank so it was made between 1980 and 1997.

We are bringing it into Metz & Co this evening.
Come in and check it out.
