❤️ LONG POST WARNING. ❤️
Many of our clients have encountered Pam, my momther in law over the years in the flooring businesses. Always chatty. Always kind. Though she knew everything about flooring she always tried to know the customers on a personal level! She was entertaining and would talk your ears off.
In July she contracted Covid while on a trip to New Jersey for our biannual Brown Family Reunion. That turned into pneumonia, and ultimately caused pulmonary fibrosis to develop. Her immune system was already comprised due to fighting lymphoma a year or so ago. She fought cancer, and Won! She had clear scans for the past year. Her lungs became full of inflammation and scar tissue due to the most current illnesses. They could not function on their own. This past week she was transferred to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She received amazing care throughout her hospital visits, here and there. After arriving in St. Louis, they placed her on a ventilator to allow her body to rest. She was tired, and scared to have this done. All 3 of her children and our father traveled there instantly to be along her side. She was completely sedated and paralyzed to allow it to work properly.
Within 2 days of no signs of improvement, her kidneys began to shut down and it was hard to keep her blood pressure up where it needed to be. She was ready, and not afraid of dying. If she would have come out of this, her life would be comprised. Definitely a life she would not want.
She passed alongside her close family on Thursday, October 10th.
