The finishing touches of any project bring in the personality of the homeowners. Here is one such example from our Sun Villa project.

The colors! đź’š đź’™
This kitchen is a true reflection of the homeowners. We added details and character all through the space starting with the tongue and groove ceiling that is painted just a hint of blue. Then the beautiful island has some bead board detailing, an Ogee edge quartz top and a marvelous soft green paint color.
A few more design decisions to note:
* Stained glass transom
* Fluted workstation sink
* Glass front cabinets to display vintage kitchen finds
* Painted existing built-in to match island
* Subtle shade variation in backsplash tile

The last few days of our European Adventure were spent in a small coastal Italian beach town. Gorgeous views from our terrace greeted us and we spent our time wandering the quirky corridors and stairs of the old town. Every turn leads you to a new stairway that leads to another corridor and another set of stairs. It boggled our minds on how it was built. Our days included leisurely enjoying the beach & pool, eating pastries, seafood & pasta, and taking in the cliff views from the turquoise sea.

The ceiling is the fifth wall—treat it like one. ✨ Swapping basic drywall for painted tongue and groove to bring all sorts of character and charm to the main floor at the SunVilla Project. White ceilings are classic, but Serenely tongue and groove? That’s character.

Let's get to work! 💪🏼 Changing out the flooring at the SunVilla project is all about the demo and floor prep. A large chunk of the flooring budget was for those two line items. Our flooring crew got after it and the main level is now ready for the new wood flooring to go in.

We have the BEST clients. The Celebration Project was no exception. Rick and I adore this family and loved seeing them on a daily basis. (they kept Rick caffeinated with a daily bubbl'r...so sweet) We are proud of the outcome of all the work we put into their home. This was a rare project where no existing furniture needed to be kept. We did however keep most of the kitchen cabinetry. (with some modifications to freshen them up) Every room was touched on the main level of the home, completely transforming the entire level.
