Milking the last days of a Summer Wkd. What a treat to play in the many various Minnesota waterways. I went from sailing to biking along Lake Minnetonka, to tubing in Rivers, to family time on a Lake. All this last weekend in August.

Another beautiful family wedding this wkd meant lots of snuggles with my great nieces and nephews and lots of crazy dancing. Was so proud of my Godchild/Niece who created the most Vintage Frenchy atmosphere for her special day almost entirely by herself. The wedding even took place on the 3rd floor of an Antique store that she used to frequent with her Dad when she was younger. Her husband is lucky to have this talented woman by his side.

It’s becoming harder and harder to create or find joy in today’s social climate. My innate disposition has always led me down the path to heal through love, instead of being steeped in anger. It’s how I’m wired. This past weekend I experienced as such, along side the sensitive community of Poets and Artists paying homage to the idea of Warmth and Neighbors, held at . I shed “just the right amount of tears” as I listened to Poet reflect on the love of her neighbors in addition to the beautiful Tribute to Poet Renee Nicole Good. Love and Warmth radiated throughout the packed room. Anger was held at bay, but no doubt felt for the most recent act of a senseless murder. The range of emotions were heavy. I’ve struggled with boundaries and borders my whole life- feeling a deep connection to many people I encounter and each foreign place I visit. I must be an old soul. I found my Joy that evening by connecting to Artists and . Their pieces were featured in the Art Opening and purchasing their art made us feel even more connected to each other, instantly. We are all in this world together. Let us remember that. Sending healing vibes to all that are suffering. And please also remember that no matter who or where you are, there is always a place for you on this Earth.

I took these photos at about 9:30 at night. On January 3rd, the evening of the Super Full Moon. I think this one is also called the Wolf Moon. It was another incredible day skiing, both during the day and even more mystical and magical at night. Lit by the moon. The water was jet black at night. These photos at night have no filter. It was that dramatic. During the daytime, the woodpeckers were in full force. And I saw (and heard) Trumpet Swans on the water. I thought I was hearing dogs at first. I have always loved nature, but the last few days has been next level.

The last two days of skiing the first two days of 2026 have been so remarkably beautiful, I find it difficult not to share. So serene and calming. I felt like I was in Japan.

Family Christmas Decorating today. Followed by scalloped potatoes and ham. And treats from Rose Street Patisserie. Snowshoeing last night under the full moonlight. Just another good ol’ fashioned Minnesota Christmas in the making.

Happy Birthday to the one and only O. 2 decades on this Earth. Enjoying what he loves- taking photos, hanging out with his cousins, being in nature. Highly spirited and a softy at heart.
