If you haven't heard already, the Mercy Chefs team is in Texas right now distributing Family Grocery Boxes that will provide 15,000 meals for families affected by the Smokehouse Creek Fire.

Since the fire started last week, it has spread at an average percent of 150 football fields every minute.

Experts have now identified this as the largest wildfire in Texas state history, and it is now spreading into Oklahoma.

As families return to their homes where power has been out for days, all of the food in their refrigerators is now spoiled.

Mercy Chefs is rapidly mobilizing our resources at our Storehouse in Tanner, Alabama and transporting hundreds of our Family Grocery Boxes to be distributed by local church partners on the Texas Panhandle.

This is the first stage of our response as we identify the greatest needs in this region.
