Current "works in progress". I know some of you with hand painted designs have been patiently waiting, and I thank you. The tremors are slowly getting under control and I'm working as long as I can on each piece in between dry time etc ( Trevor Wilson ...yours especially has a LOT of tiny spots w light over dark color....and I've loved what I've learned working on it).

For those that don't know, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is a comic, and got me kicked off of etsy....for a SECOND time lol. Apparently my "art" is not appreciated by everyone.

Once again Kevin has done something truly amazing. Without telling me what he was up to he took my logo and made this go...

I apologize I've been quiet lately. I have had a lot going getting established with the VA, getting a LOT of new medications and adjusting to them, as well as getting accustomed to being a new grandma to twins who required a lil extra in the beginning.

A new display case has been built so we can have a permanent sale location off the internet. Once again we have to give mad props to Kevin @ Nocta Oleum for that....seriously is there anything that man can't do?

If you have a custom order in it is being worked on. I apologize but the tremors are still very much a thing so the hand painted designs really take me awhile. I will not half ass my work and I appreciate you trusting me with your vision.

When I'm unable to paint I am working on simpler designs that will be available as they are done so keep an eye out.

Now it's time for the fun part where I get to pretend I'm an artist and hand paint the piece to meld the background and image.

How it started vs how it's going....

Every time I make a cup I think "this is my favorite" then I get a commission piece like this where I'm given an idea and told "do what you want" and briefly I get to be an artist again.

The image was turned into a water slide, but it was cut off on all sides and wouldn't fit well on the cup. Despite cutting as much as I could it cracked in several pieces...so out came my paint and I painted over, then extended, the original piece.

I'm waiting for the final okay from its owner then it will get a fun iridescent top coat and be ready for home.

This piece was a straight challenge and experiment, but I LOVE how it's turning out.

Today we are working with a new paint. Kevin reached out awhile back and asked if I thought Black 3.0 by Stuart Sample at Culturehustle.com would work well on the tumblers. I had no idea but at $30 for a bottle of paint that would normally cost $3-$5 I was hesitant.

He decided he wanted some things done in it himself and here we are bright and early playing with new paint in the "lab".

Per usual I will keep you guys posted and hopefully have some AMAZING pieces with this paint in the future.

For those of you who haven't heard of this paint, it is supposed to be the blackest/mattest black paint currently available. I will tell you now it is HEAVILY pigmented and while gorgeous, a lil difficult to work as it dries so fast.

I will have to look into a matte epoxy as the gloss will hide just how deep and matte this paint is once applied.

First things first,

I have made a colossal boo-boo and not given credit where credit was due. I've worked with Kevin, from Nocte Oleum Solutions, on a BUNCH of pieces and his work is always amazing. A fellow vet, his attention to detail is unheard of and his work is absolutely gorgeous.

When I was working on the Harley Quinn piece I ran into an issue with the personalization because the art work was original work from a comic. I couldn't find matching font and I wanted it to all tie together. I contacted Kevin because he has a larger database...

Say no more fam....

Few hours later I get a file....

Only, he didn't just find a font file...oh no, that would be too easy. This crazy fu@k took the image I sent w the txt bubbles, went into illustrator and MADE HIS OWN.

Guys... he drives me crazy, I've def called him a few 4 letter words, and occasionally I scream and cry simultaneously because he's a straight sarcastic prick...

He's also an evil genius who supports my every creative spark and I'm blessed to have him in my corner when it comes to this business.

So, Kev...totally sorry I didn't give you a shout out this time. I genuinely appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for driving me nuts and keeping me from yeeting my laptop across the house.

Harley Quinn started out as an experiment to see how using comic book pages would turn out and quickly turned into not only one of my favorite pieces I've done this year, but also a quickly sold and personalized piece.
