What happens when a card kit meets scrapbooking? 🤔

In my newest YouTube video, I'm sharing a sneak peek of my Lakeside Retreat Scrapbook Kit—and the fun part is that it all started with a Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin card kit!

You know I love stretching my supplies, and this project was such a fun challenge. Instead of making the cards as designed, I transformed the kit pieces into scrapbook layouts complete with custom Cricut titles and plenty of room for your favorite outdoor memories.

As always, this is a pre-cut scrapbook kit, which means I've already done the cutting for you. 💙

Just assemble the pages, add your photos, and enjoy the fun part of scrapbooking.

One of my favorite things about designing scrapbook kits?
The titles.

For Lakeside Retreat, I created custom titles like:
✨ Easy
✨ Sunshine
✨ Season

They help tell the story before the photos are even added.
Sometimes a single word can instantly bring you back to a memory.
What's one word that describes your favorite summer memory?

Every kit has that one layout.
The one you finish and immediately think...
"Yep. That's my favorite."

For this kit, it's the layout with the dock scene and the layered photo mats. It feels calm, peaceful, and perfectly captures that "lake life" feeling.
Although... ask me again tomorrow and I might choose a different one. 😂

There are some scrapbook kits that feel very specific...
And then there are kits like this one.

Cabins.
Lakes.
Docks.
Fishing.
Boating.
Summer vacations.
Family weekends.

It works for so many different memories without feeling tied to one event.
That's one of the reasons I fell in love with this design.

Okay friends, I've had fun with this one....another new set of scrapbook layouts... but this "scrapbook kit" didn't start out as a scrapbook kit at all. 😄
It started as a Paper Pumpkin card kit.

When the Lakeside Retreat Paper Pumpkin arrived, I kept looking at all those beautiful lakeside images and thinking and new they belonged on scrapbook pages.

So I challenged myself to see if I could turn a card kit into a complete 6-page scrapbook workshop. AND... I did. 💙
