This month, we took our annual summer picnic to Silver Falls State Park! We spent the day enjoying delicious food, having some fun with a piñata, and taking in the breathtaking waterfalls 🧺🪅🏞️

Good food, beautiful views, lots of laughs, and even better company! It was a wonderful day spent together as a team, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Last month, our team enjoyed spending the day at Salem Executives Association (SEA) Annual Golf Tournament at Salem Golf Club ⛳

SEA has long been about bringing people together, and the annual golf tournament is a great example of that mission in action. The day offered plenty of opportunities to connect, share conversations, and strengthen relationships with professionals throughout our local business community—all while enjoying some friendly competition. The barbecue afterward was the perfect way to wrap up an enjoyable day.

Thank you to SEA for continuing to foster a community where businesses can grow together. We appreciate the opportunity to connect and are already looking forward to next year!

Project Update 🚧 Roberson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

The spaces are taking shape as construction continues!!
The project includes two building additions, an interior remodel, and site improvements to expand and modernize the existing dealership. With the structural framing now in place, the overall layout is becoming more defined, and the seamless integration of the new additions with the existing dealership is beginning to come to life.

Chemeketa Community College YVC Medical Assisting Classroom Remodel

Building 2 at the Chemeketa Yamhill Valley Campus recently underwent an interior remodel that, while modest in scope, brings meaningful improvements to the overall student experience. This remodeled classroom space will primarily support Medical Assisting instruction, while also providing flexible learning space to serve the needs of Early Childhood Education, EMT, and other workforce training programs at YVC. The updated design refreshes the space with modern finishes and a more functional layout.

Key improvements include a welcoming reception area that serves as a clear and accessible first point of contact, expanded classrooms designed to support more interactive and collaborative learning, and an all-inclusive restroom layout with durable materials and fixtures. Together, these improvements create a more engaging, inclusive, and student-centered environment.

Chemeketa Community College Building 7 Renovation

Ground has officially been broken on Chemeketa Community College’s Building 7 for its extensive renovation. Building 7 is home to the Health & Human Performance and Athletics Programs, and serves as a vital hub for students, faculty, athletes, and community members. As it is often one of the first touchpoints for visitors to campus, this facility plays an important role for community members and students alike. The renovation aims to create a welcoming environment that supports both academic success and athletic achievement. While much of the project focuses on upgrades of mechanical and electrical systems, a new roof, and seismic improvements, the design intent extends beyond building systems. Selected areas will receive new space layouts and interior finishes will be updated throughout the building. The refreshed facility will reflect Chemeketa’s commitment to student well-being, accessibility, inclusivity, and community engagement.

Project Update 🚧
The Gate Youth Association Building Expansion

The Gate Youth Association has broken ground for the building expansion! Facet Architects designed the original building in 2017, which was completed in 2020. The facility has already surpassed the anticipated attendance rates, and this new addition is designed for that continued growth and to expand opportunities for local youth. The project will add 7,128 sq. ft. to the existing 11,600 sq. ft. facility that will include two classrooms, an upstairs multipurpose area, a game room, and staff offices. Project highlights include an elevator installation for improved accessibility, a mass-plywood panel floor system for structural support and reduced sound transfer, and an open web joist ceiling for an open feeling. Construction is underway, and we are excited to be part of a project that plays such an important role in supporting and growing the community.

Project Introduction 👋 Roberson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

It's been a long time coming for this building addition and remodel at Roberson CDR+J. Design began over two years ago for this project, which features two building additions (totaling a mere 3,400 sf), an interior remodel, and site upgrades. The result will be a dealership that is more functional for employees and customers, a site that is easier to navigate, and an eye-catching building that draws people in.

Construction began in March, and after a few months of subgrade prep and underground work, construction is finally going vertical!

The teams from Facet Architects and Anderson Shirley Architects were proud to participate in Women Build 2026, hosted by Habitat For Humanity Mid Willamette Valley, joining volunteers in support of building safe, affordable housing. Women Build brings people together to learn, collaborate, and contribute directly to strengthening communities through hands-on construction projects that create a lasting impact for families in need.
