This has been the "year of the baby blankets"! 👶

This marks the 12th baby blanket I've made this year and I always think my favorite part is helping the customer pick out custom colors specifically for the baby that they're buying for.

These cukes found themselves a really good hiding place and went undetected for far too long! 😳 They will make a nice treat for our very grateful chickens.

If anyone needs me, either check the garden or the kitchen! 🫑🌶🥒

Last year was our very first year of gardening. I'm SO thankful for the lessons our garden taught us last year that helped us make improvements this year. While we're nowhere near "experienced", we already have made notes on what we can improve even more on next year and we're having so much fun along the way.

Last year, canning was admittedly a struggle for me. This year, something "clicked" and it's been such a great way for us to preserve our fresh food. If anyone has any favorite canning recipies or tips and tricks that you love and are willing to share, I'd be so appreciative to hear them!

Things have been a little quiet this week because the cat distribution system has chosen us. We have been spending time welcoming our newest *and tiniest* member. Sometimes the best family members are the ones we never planned for. 🖤 🐾

Introducing 'Featherweight', the newest addition to The Hive & The Herd family! 🐝🐂

Lovingly created for those who love the benefits of our original Whipped Tallow Balm, Featherweight is whipped with sweet almond oil, creating a lighter feel for the days when deeper moisturization isn't necessary.

Like our original, Featherweight is crafted with locally sourced beef tallow. This is a traditional skincare ingredient that has been used for generations and we render it in our own kitchen. Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, tallow closely resembles the oils found in our own skin, making it incredibly gentle and nourishing for many skin types.

In a world filled with long ingredients lists filled with harsh chemicals, fragrances, and additives, I love being able to provide a product with simple, recognizable, quality ingredients. Whether you're looking for a daily moisturizer, relief for dry skin, or are simply seeking to simplify your skincare routine, Featherweight offers a light, affordable way to experience the benefits of clean, traditional tallow-based skincare.

Featherweight available now at CC's Candy Factory 💟
