A little scheduling update from Tailored Organizing! 💛

Our calendar is officially full for the rest of 2026! I'm so grateful to the wonderful clients who have welcomed us into their homes this year.

We're now booking consultations and organizing sessions for January 2027 and beyond!

If there's a space in your home that isn't working quite the way you'd like, we'd love to help you find a better way forward.

And remember, you don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. That's what we're here for!

Ready to get started? Visit www.tailoredorganizing.com to schedule your complimentary consultation.

Decluttering would be a whole lot easier if we could predict the future. 😂

Will I need this someday?
Will I regret getting rid of it?
Will my kids want this after I'm gone?

Who knows?!

And that's kind of the problem.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't deciding to keep something or deciding to let it go. It's not deciding at all.

My newest blog post is about four questions I use when “Do I want this?” isn't getting us anywhere.

And spoiler: the goal isn't to get rid of more stuff. Sometimes "keep it" is absolutely the right answer.

4 Questions to Ask Yourself When Decluttering Feels Hard is up on the blog now.

This little corner of our home feels like a sanctuary to me. 💛

The plants, evening light, tiny reflections from the disco ball (highly recommend getting one). The view outside. Even the cat scratcher. 😆 None of it is particularly fancy, but it makes me happy to be home and fills me with joy every time the sun begins to set and the plants are all aglow.

And I think that’s really what creating a sanctuary at home is about. It doesn’t have to look a certain way—it’s about creating a space that feels good to live in.

That idea is also a big part of why I love what I do. Being organized isn’t just about how your home looks—it’s about how it functions and feels. It’s making space for the things you love, creating systems that make everyday life a little easier, and creating a home that supports you and the way you actually live.

I wrote a little more about this in my latest blog, What Does Sanctuary Look Like? If you’ve ever thought about what makes your own home feel like a sanctuary, I’d love for you to give it a read. 💛

A beautifully organized home isn't built in a day.

It's built one small decision at a time.

One item put away.

One drawer reset.

One donation bag dropped off.

One habit repeated.

Those little moments don't just create a more organized home—they create a home that feels easier to live in.

That's the inspiration behind my newest blog, A Little Kindness for Future You.

If you've been waiting for the "perfect time" to get organized, this is your reminder that you don't have to do it all today. Start with one small act of kindness for your future self.

One of the biggest mindset shifts I've had over the years has nothing to do with organizing products or perfectly labeled bins.

It's simply asking myself:

"What would Future Me appreciate?"

Maybe it's taking the donation bag to the car.

Maybe it's putting something back where it belongs.

Maybe it's taking two minutes to reset one small space before bed.

Those little acts of kindness don't seem like much in the moment, but they make tomorrow feel a little lighter.

I wrote more about this simple mindset in my newest blog, A Little Kindness for Future You.

💛 I'd love to know... what's one small thing you can do today that your future self will thank you for?

Recently, Nichole and I worked with a client who was preparing to sell his home.

He had a lot on his plate—repairs to manage, decisions to make, and years of belongings to sort through. Then an unexpected issue at the house added even more stress.

Over two days, we helped him declutter, make decisions about what to keep, pack items for storage, and prepare the home for listing.

By the end, he wasn't just left with a more organized home—he had a clear path forward.
Helping people through overwhelming transitions is one of my favorite parts of this work.
