There was A LOT of tarnish on this saddle fender. There's something pretty satisfying about scraping tarnish off of the copper rivets. We don't use sandpaper on this much tarnish. Because the tarnish is sticky it will get stuck on your sandpaper and ruin it. So it's one small pick to the rescue.

This Kirkes Custom roper came in tired, dull, and dirty — and just look at it now. A full strip-down clean, oil, and condition brought that roughout back to life, plus a new burgundy latigo and freshened up strings.

This pretty Corriente came in for a full clean, oil, condition and detail — and it's heading home with its stablemate, a Tres Rios trophy saddle we finished last week. Two saddles, one trip.

We had this Master in last year for a complete restoration -- if you scroll back through our FB posts you can find the original before and after. It was quite a bit of work. So it's back this week for a cleanup, some better hardware (nails weren't cutting it...), and a replacement Blevins slide. Looks fantastic again and it's ready for pickup.

Hope everybody enjoyed Chouteau Day and the parade!

We didn't want to miss the 230th Chouteau Day parade. There were some familiar faces and a couple saddles we've cleaned in the parade. Also there were lots of good looking horses and a mule.
