Meet Dotty the fish! It was fun to paint a rainbow trout (in gray scale) for the Salmon Creek Mural Project. There are 50 local artists painting fish this next week and the final project will be unveiled September 20th. This is near KlineLine Pond.

Ashland's Street Division installed a colorful thermoplastic artwork piece titled "Walking Upstream." The work was designed by Glory Salinas Nylander and chosen by the Public Arts Advisory Committee and funded by the Ashland Beautification Initiative.

"Walking Upstream" was installed at 3am on July 2nd, on July 4th 4,000 locals and visitors flooded Lithia Park to celebrate, and cross over the newly installed decorative Crosswalk.

I've been wanting to paint this song on or around a piano and I finally did! You can find Jordan's original composition "The Olympics," (one song from his Hood Canal Suite) on The Sugar Plum Fairy Ballet Piano in Klamath Falls, OR. Here is a video of him playing the piece on the piano - most of the top half isn't in tune or broken so it will sound different on other pianos.

I'm excited to share that my design has been chosen to fill a crosswalk in Ashland, OR. It is scheduled to be installed this month, the piece is titled "Walking Upstream," and it features foods the native Shasta people hunted and gathered in the area of Ashland - Elderberry, Coho Salmon and Camas Flower. It was a source of nutrition then, now, and if we take care of this earth, in the future!

This art would be at the entrance.
