I’ve noticed something about people who eventually build a custom home…

They start noticing the details everywhere — the light in a room, the proportions of a doorway, the materials that make a space feel different.

And after touring enough homes, you start to realize nothing quite feels right.

That’s usually when building a home of your own begins to make sense.

Curious — what detail always stands out to you in a beautiful home?

Finish selections can make or break how a home feels.

The most beautiful spaces usually aren't built from trendy materials or perfect Pinterest images, they come from thoughtful layering, balance, lighting, and cohesion.

A finish may look beautiful on it's own, but the magic happens when everything works together as a whole.

These small decisions are often what separate a home that feels "fine" from one that feels elevated, warm, and intentional.

Good design isn't about everything being expensive.

It's about knowing what should be.

That's where design decisions make all the difference.

Lately I've been drawn to spaces that feel, soft, natural, and a little romantic.

Open windows.
Green returning to the garden.
Materials that feel warm and lived in.

The kind of quiet charm that makes a house feel like a home.

These are the kinds of elements I love weaving into new homes to give them a sense of character.

I always find myself wanting to lighten everything this time of year.

Not a full redesign, just subtle changes that make a home feel a little softer, a little fresher.

Spring, but in a way that still feels timeless.

Curious, are you someone who switches things up seasonally or keeps things consistent year-round?

Rumor has it blue is trending in interiors…

But blue has been showing up in homes for centuries.

From painted millwork and cabinetry
to tiled walls and collected details,
it’s always been there.

Not bright. Not bold. Not trying to be the moment.

Muted. Layered. Lived-in.

The kind of blue that feels like it belongs,
not like it just arrived.

The most timeless colors aren’t trends.
They’re returns.

For the love of marble.
Few materials carry the history and character that marble does. It has been used in architecture for centuries.

What makes marble to special is that no two slabs are ever the same. The veining, movement, and subtle variation create surfaces that feel alive in a way man-made materials rarely do.

That said, marble isn’t for everyone.

Because it’s a natural stone, it’s softer and more porous than many alternatives. It will develop patina over time, and it can etch or stain if not cared for properly.

That evolving character is part of the beauty. Marble tells the story of a home being lived in.

Timeless, historic, and always worth considering.
