A few antique rugs, an Utah cabin, and a landscape that does most of the decorating.

Loved leaning into texture and color with emily foxley & co. for this project - the perfect complement to a gorgeously natural space 🕊️

Nearly broke my neck capturing this one but she’s worth it. Meet Elif, an incredibly elegant and graceful oversized, vintage Oushak rug.

Oushak rugs trace their roots to west-central Anatolia, now Turkey, and became especially renowned during the Ottoman Empire, when their grand scale, oversized floral motifs, and warm palettes were woven for palaces and important interiors.

Today, vintage Oushaks are coveted for that same sense of grandeur, paired with softened, beautifully faded color and an ease that immediately grounds a room. Available on the site

An 18th-century stone house with five fireplaces and a waterfall should be enough to distract me. Yet somehow all I can see are the rugs. Occupational hazard, perhaps.

I’d happily take one of each, along with a leisurely stroll around this beautiful property. Listing and photography: This Old Hudson | Hudson Valley Real Estate
