I fought a battle within myself going back and forth as to whether or not I should post this. But i felt in my heart that I had to. Not for the sadness behind it but for the joy and the memories I hold deep for this person. From day one coming into this family you greeted me with love that, in all honesty, I was not expecting. You introduced yourself not by your government name but simply "aunt rosie". That's what I've always known you as. It has been an honor and a privilege to know such an amazing wonderful strong woman like you. Since I've started this roller coaster of a career you have been one of my biggest fans. Every post, every milestone, you have always cheered me on from the sidelines and gave me courage and let me know that what I'm doing matters. That being said I have created a piece just for you to show the world what a strong, empowering, loving, selfless person you are. I was going to bring this to the upcoming reunion, but given the circumstances I know you are not in the shape to attend, but I still believe you have the right to see this and know how much of an impact you had on me. You make me want to do better in life and want better out of this life and I believe you have touched more lives than you will ever know and that there are many people out there who feel the same. Cancer doesn't define who you are. It's the battle within yourself and knowing that you have put up a fight every day and continue to do so. Remember you don't have to do it alone, there are many people at the forefront with you and fighting with you. With all that being said I hope you truly love this as I will always love you, my beautiful aunt Rosie. Feel free to like share and comment and as always much love.
