It was Dec 2012 and Rod Bridgman, the owner of Sealy Flats, agreed to let me (a very inexperienced artist) setup in the very back of the patio while Samantha Fish performed live. It was my first time painting live and I was nervous as hell. I must have painted over it 2-3 times before I was happy with it. But the memory stays with me.

I dedicated Sealy Flats, a painting in the San Angelo Series, to Rod for supporting and encouraging me to pursue my art. Here I am years later still swinging my paint brush.

If you’ve been watching our live feed for the last 4-5 days you’ve seen this painting in it’s different stages. Today I finished this painting of the Lady in Blue, 30”x40” acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

I’ll be sending out an email this week with its official addition to the San Angelo Series as a print. The original will also be listed online for purchase for whoever decides to add to their collection 😊.
