I have officially given up my booth at Hippie Hysteria 😔.

I have not been able to keep up with creating things and keeping my booth full due to my pregnancy.

However, I am still creating things slowly while pregnant and I will eventually go back with a smaller space.

Until then, make sure you continue to check out everything the amazing shops have there.

Yesterday I received the most devastating news about my beautiful niece.

-Back in August, she fell off the monkey bars. A few days later, she had a bump on her back. She went to the doctor multiple times.
-Some days the bump didn’t bother her at all, and other days it was painful. X-rays were done twice, and the doctors said it was likely a pulled muscle.
-At her appointment last Monday, doctors again said it was muscular and that she would need physical therapy. That week was long and painful for her.
-After she went to her dad’s, her parents all agreed something wasn’t right and they took her to the ER Saturday afternoon.
-An MRI was done, and her parents thought it was just a bulging disc.

-Instead, they received the most devastating news imaginable...my niece has stage 4 cancer. That bump was an aggressive tumor pushing against her spine and crushing her nerves.
-In just a few months, it had spread to several places in her spine and multiple places in her lungs.

-They transferred her from St. John’s in Springfield to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. They arrived Sunday morning and that very night, her medical team immediately took action.
-They removed most of the tumor to prevent further damage to her spine and sent it for biopsy.
-They don’t know exactly what type of cancer it is yet, but doctors believe it is likely sarcoma. Once they know the specific type, they’ll be able to treat it appropriately.

-For now, she is healing from surgery.

-Throughout all of this, she has been absolutely incredible. She is strong, determined, and fiercely independent.
-Her doctors and nurses are blown away by how mature and brave she is for a 9 year old.

-Her mom and husband, and her dad (my brother) and his wife have all taken off work to travel and be with her.

-While her parents are so grateful for the family support they have, the reality is that bills, gas, food, and daily expenses are starting to add up.

-My family is humbly asking for a little help if anyone wants to donate.

She still has her sass and is handling things incredibly well. But this is never news you want to get especially a few days before Christmas.
