Another student sketchbook spotlight! πŸŽ¨πŸ“–

Here’s a little sneak peek inside one of my student’s amazing sketchbooks. She took her ideas beyond drawing by adding stickers, hot gluing different materials, and putting it all together in a collage. I love seeing her experiment and make this sketchbook her own! πŸ’–βœ¨

New blog post is up! 🎨✨
From celebrating five colorful years of REB Art Camp in Laredo and San Antonio to beginning a brand-new school year with three different roles, life has been busy, messy, exciting, and incredibly meaningful.
In my newest blog post, I’m sharing a little about this creative summer, the wonderful people who helped make camp possible, our new school building, and what it feels like to balance Art, Gifted and Talented Services, and CTE.
Everything is still a work in progress, including me, but that is part of creating something meaningful. πŸ’›

This summer was such a meaningful one for me and for REB Creative Studio. We celebrated our fifth year of summer art camp, and I still cannot believe I get to say that. What began as a small idea has continued to grow into something that means so much to me, and every summer reminds me why I started

I wish I had posted about our first day of school, but things have been a little crazy around here! πŸ˜‚πŸŽ¨ Between moving into our brand new building, unpacking, organizing, and trying to get everything ready, the days have been flying by.
This weekend our families were able to come visit the new campus for Open House, and it was so nice getting to finally share our new space with everyone. πŸ’› My room is definitely not finished yet and is still very much a work in progress, but we’re getting there! A lot of sweat, teamwork, and love from my family and coworkers has gone into this move, and I’m so thankful.
We also got the sweetest surprise when some of our former students came by to see the new campus. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’• I seriously cannot believe how much time has passed. Seeing them all grown up and getting to show them around this new chapter was such a special moment. They have grown into such beautiful young ladies, and it made my teacher heart so happy.
This year has already started off busy, messy, exciting, and full of special little moments. I can’t wait to see this new space slowly become home. 🎨✨

🎨✨ Something colorful is in the works! ✨🎨
I’ve been working hard behind the scenes, creating new art, carving designs, printing shirts, making stickers, and bringing lots of little ideas to life for the REB Creative Studio shop.
It’s not open just yet, but every day I’m getting a little closer, and I truly cannot wait to share everything with you! Thank you for cheering me on while I create, experiment, and probably make a giant mess in the studio. πŸ’–πŸŒˆ
The REB Art Shop is coming soon! πŸ‘€

Can we take a moment for our Mexican suns? β˜€οΈπŸŽ¨
Both our Laredo and San Antonio campers created the cutest suns, and I love how each one had its own personality. Some were bright and bold, some were sweet and silly, and all of them were full of creativity.
This project is always such a fun one to watch come to life. Clay, color, sunshine, and so many proud little artists. πŸ’›

Paint, bricks, and a birthday girl. Honestly, a pretty perfect combination. 🎨🧱🌿
We had such a fun time creating one-of-a-kind garden bricks for the birthday girl, and every design had its own little personality. There was lots of creativity, laughter, and a few very serious artistic decisions.
Now we just can’t wait to see these colorful bricks find their new home in her garden!

Can we take a moment for our awesome fossil digs? πŸ¦–πŸŽ¨
Both our Laredo and San Antonio campers did such a fantastic job with this project! Our artists got messy with plaster and celluclay, built their own fossil digs, and brought so much creativity into every little detail.
I loved seeing how each one turned out different. Some looked like real fossil discoveries, and others had the sweetest creative touches that made them completely their own.
Messy hands, busy artists, and some pretty amazing prehistoric masterpieces. We are so proud of our campers! πŸ’›
