A pair of English Windsor chairs and a slant- top writing desk also called a Davenport desk are new arrivals. The origin of the Davenport name - Ship Captain Davenport commissioned an upscale English furniture maker to build a compact space saving writing desk he could use on his ship. The design became so popular, the name stuck.
